Install Tehama Client on Windows

Latest available Tehama Client versions for Windows:

  • Version 2.5.1 (Stable): Single install for Tehama Client + PCoIP Client.
  • Version 3.1.0 (Beta): Dual install for Tehama Client and Session Client (HP Anyware Client).

Downloaded from: the Tehama Web UI, current release or beta version

Supported Windows versions: Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2019

Before You Begin - Uninstall any old version

Before installing the Tehama Client, it is strongly recommended that you uninstall any previously installed versions, including:

  • Tehama PCoIP Client
  • HP Anyware Client
  • Teradici PCoIP Client

To uninstall any of these:

  • In the list of installed programs, locate any of the following clients:
    • Tehama PCoIP Client
    • HP Anyware Client
    • Teradici PCoIP Client
  • Right-click on each of these clients, one by one, and select "Uninstall".
  • Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
  • Restart your device.

Note: Failure to uninstall old clients may cause conflicts during installation.

Download and Install Tehama Client v2.5.1 (Stable)

Follow the steps below to download and install the Tehama Client version 2.5.1 on your Windows device.

Step 1: Download the Client

  1. Log in to the Tehama Web UI.
  2. Go to the DESKTOPS page.
  3. Click on the INSTALL CLIENT button in the top right of the page.
  4. Click on the download link next to the Windows symbol.
  5. Wait for the tehama_pcoip_client.exe file to be downloaded to your Downloads folder.

Step 2: Install the Tehama Client v2.5.1

  1. Go to your Downloads folder.
  2. Double click on tehama_pcoip_client.exe.
  3. Click yes on the prompt to allow the application to run.
  4. Read through the SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT.
  5. Select "I accept the agreement", and click Next.
  6. Follow the installation instructions. You may be prompted to restart your browser after installation.
  7. Restart your browser if required, then log back into the Tehama Web UI.
  8. Navigate to the DESKTOPS page and connect to your Tehama Desktop by clicking on the CONNECT button.
  9. Once your desktop is ready, a prompt will appear asking you to allow Tehama to open the Microsoft Windows Based Script Host. Click on "Open".
  10. The Tehama Client will now launch and your desktop will be ready for use.

Download and Install Tehama Client v3.1.0 (Beta)

Follow the steps below to download and install the Tehama Client version 3.1.0 (Beta) on your Windows device. This version requires two separate installs: the Tehama Client and the Session Client (HP Anyware Client).

Step 1: Download the Tehama Client

  1. Log in to the Tehama Web UI.
  2. Go to the DESKTOPS page.
  3. Click on the INSTALL CLIENT button in the top right of the page.
  4. Click on the download link next to the Windows symbol.
  5. Wait for the TehamaClientInstaller.exe file to be downloaded to your Downloads folder.

Step 2: Install the Tehama Client

  1. Go to your Downloads folder.
  2. Double click on TehamaClientInstaller.exe.
  3. Click yes on the prompt to allow the application to run.
  4. Follow the installation instructions. You may be prompted to restart your browser after installation.
  5. Restart your browser if required, then log back into the Tehama Web UI.

Step 3: Install the Session Client

After installing the Tehama Client, on your first attempt to connect to a Tehama Desktop, you will be prompted to install the Session Client (HP Anyware Client).

  • If you choose Yes, the Session Client installation will start. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
  • If you choose No, you will not be able to connect to a desktop until the Session Client is installed. You can either:
    • Retry the connection and choose Yes when prompted again.
    • Install the Session Client manually from the Help menu by selecting Install Session Client.

Note: If you do not have administrative rights, a system administrator will need to install both the Tehama Client and the Session Client for you.
