Release November 17th 2021
New & Improved
- The Rooms page has been updated to include several improvements:
- It is now possible to set a room description for convenient identification of elements like projects, partners, groups of people, regions, or anything else that may be useful. This can be done from the Rooms page action menu or by editing the header when inside a room.
- Columns have been added to the Rooms page to indicate monthly TCU usage and Room region, providing efficient access to key information all in one place.
- A new refresh button on the Rooms page can be used to bring the UI up to date and reflect the latest state of information in the table.
- An Error dialog has been added to the desktop creation flow. Should the creation of a desktop template fail for any reason, this modal will clearly communicate that an error has been encountered and encourage a retry when possible.
- The Custom Images functionality has been updated to reflect the differences between custom image creation for Tehama (Windows & Linux) Desktops and AWS Workspaces:
- The labels for the function used to initiate the creation of a custom image have been revised:
- Tehama Linux and Tehama Windows: the label now reads “Create Image” as this is a self-serve capability.
- AWS Workspace: the label now reads “Request Image” as this step signals the Technical Support team to complete the creation.
- The Request/Create Image modals have been updated with a clean and consistent layout.
- The permissions for accessing the Request/Create Image function have been refined to eliminate the possibility of encountering a permissions-based error:
- A user must be an Org Admin, Org Manager, or Room Manager.
- The user must belong to the room (for AWS Workspaces: only the Room Manager must belong to the room).
- The user must be a member of the owning org, not a 3rd party or connected org.
- For more detailed information about Custom Images functionality and the latest updates, please refer to the Custom Specifications User Guide.
- The labels for the function used to initiate the creation of a custom image have been revised:
- The architecture of the Rooms page, Desktops page, and Desktops report have been improved, resulting in increased performance and stability.
