Fix a Failed DIA Deployment

Symptoms:

- Child desktops are not registering on DIA
- The Parent hostname in DIA keeps changing as child desktops come online

Note: When DIA is installed with a UID.TXT (or DeviceAccessToken.txt) copied to each child desktop, please follow the below steps.

 

How to Delete UID.TXT on Tehama Windows Desktop

There are two ways to delete UID.TXT file in Tehama Windows Desktop:
1. Manual steps
2. Automated steps

1. Manual Steps:

1. Open Services.msc 

  • Right-click on the Start menu
  • Select Run
  • In the “Run” dialogue box type: services.msc

2. Stop the Control Up SIP Agent service

  • In the Services window, scroll down and double click on Control Up SIP Agent
  • In the resulting window, press the Stop button (wait for the status bar to complete)

3. Delete the UID.TXT file

  • Right-click on the Start menu
  • Select Run
  • In the “Run” dialogue box type: C:\ProgramData\Avacee\sip_agent\cachefiles (Allow access if prompted)
  • Locate and right-click on the UID.TXT and/or DeviceAccessToken.TXT file, Select Delete(Yes to remove if prompted)
4. Open Services.msc
  • Right-click on the Start menu
  • Select Run
  • In the “Run” dialogue box type: services.msc
5. Start the Control Up SIP Agent service
  • In the Services window, scroll down and double click on Control Up SIP Agent
  • In the resulting window, press the Start button (wait for the status bar to complete)

2. Automated steps:

  • Double-click on the attached file Fix-DIA.bat (Click Yes in the UAC window)

 

How to Delete UID.TXT on Tehama Linux Desktop

  • Run these commands in Terminal
sudo service avaceesip stop
rm -rf /usr/local/avacee/sip_agent/cachefiles
sudo service avaceesip start
