This guide is intended to make sure the installation of the Tehama client is done correctly.
If the client is not installed correctly, your keyboard might not work properly. If you want to use an extended keyboard instead, we have a guide for that.
The Tehama PCoIPclient version needed to follow this guide is version 2.0.0.
Method 1:
STEP 1: Remove ‘Tehama’ and ‘PCoIPClient’ from your Mac applications folder (move them to Trash).
STEP 2: Make sure ‘applet’ residual is removed from the Accessibility settings.
STEP 3: Install Client 2.0.0 (download from ‘Install Client’ page).
STEP 4: Make sure Accessibility is in a clean state (none of ‘applet’, ‘Tehama’, or ‘PCoIPClient’ on the list).
STEP 5: Connect to your Tehama desktop.
STEP 6: Normally you should see this prompt, select ‘Open System Preferences’. If this prompt never shows for you, please jump to Method 2.
STEP 7: You should see ‘applet’ is added to the Accessibility list now, check the checkbox on ‘applet’.
STEP 8: After this, the keyboard may still not work in your desktop session. Close the current session and connect to a new session (by closing the Client and connecting from the web app again).
STEP 9: The keyboard should work in the new session.
Keyboard Mapping:
If you would like to change some of the key mapping between your keyboard and your Tehama desktop, you can run the following commands on Terminal:
defaults write "com.teradici.Teradici PCoIP Client" mac_capture_all_keys 0
defaults write "com.teradici.Teradici PCoIP Client" mac_system_shortcut_capture 0
defaults write "com.teradici.Teradici PCoIP Client" remap_cmd_to_ctrl 1
The last line ensure the 'command' key on your Macbook maps to the 'Ctrl' key on your Tehama Windows desktop.
Method 2:
This method is intended to ensure the MacOS configuration is set correctly, in the situation when method 1 does not work.

STEP 6B: If your macOS version is Catalina or lower. Find ‘Tehama’ from the following path, and drag this ‘Tehama’ to Accessibility.
STEP 7: Normally the ‘applet’ or ‘Tehama’ from the previous step should be checked, if not, please check the checkbox.
STEP 8: Then connect to your Tehama desktop.
STEP 9: The keyboard should work. If it does not, proceed to Method 3.
